The weekend...

Was nothing much. Had a good talk with my Dad. Kendra left on biz trip and I didn't miss her too awful bad. Spent Sunday afternoon doing laundry, snoozing on the couch, playing F1 Challenge. I also watched part of the NASCAR race...this is my second week of watching NASCAR stuff. Kendra brought up a good point when she called and I told her about the race:

"What’s up with us and NASCAR?"
"I know. I was thinking the same thing. I think its because we're in the sports doldrums...football is over. Its months until CART starts. But its been kind of interesting learning something new."
"That might be it."

I also watched a good movie that Tivo recorded for me of IFC called "In the bathtub of the world". Its a movie/documentary from a film maker named Caveh Zahedi. Where he taped a 1-minute entry everyday of his life for a year. It was a kind of arty...a very personal thing and you really got to know him. I emailed him afterwards just to let him know I enjoyed his film and it inspired me to journal more and truthfully. And he emailed me back pretty quick. Thanking me and encouraging me. It was a cool little Sunday morning moment. It was also good to see someone else exasperated with a stack of books that he has to read. And that he openly confesses to teaching classes that he knows NOTHING about.

It was a good day...I drank espresso...I had a beer...I watched it snow.
