Hello London

Jet Lag Be Damned Lets make this fast...the travellogue and the trip. Four days there, 2 in the air. Well I don't know if you can count the first day in the air. I rode first class...sweet delecious first class. We traded in our miles for a well desereved ride up front. I know some of you will "poo-poo" for leaving the "traveler" lifestylle for the "tourist". But let me say this too you..."I don't care". Let me give a brief view of the world "up front". A meal is served to you not slung at you...beverages are free and easy to come by. And the space...the sweet, delecious space. I was giddy in delight with it. Prior to the flight passengers roam about like a party...sipping their drinks...chatting with fellow passengers. And laughter! Wonderful laughter! Back in economy people grunt and growl at their "seats" wedging themselves in trying to find the most comfortable spot to twist in and somewhere near the back...a lone child cries.
Back up front I'm getting my second gin and tonic. Not the bathtub stuff I swill at home. But Blue Saphire. I lean my seat back into an obtuse angle I've not felt before in the air. I dreamily slip away and sleep deeper than I ever have on a plane. So much so I wake up shortly before landing...oblivious to the time and to the fact that I missed my breakfest. The fabulous luxury has a price though. The prom is over. My mouth tastes likes the bottom of a bar stool and I have a lorry-sized hangover parked in the front of my skull. The grey sky that greets me and matches my mood. I need juice..a few hours sleep and an attitude adjustment. Hello London.
